Wildcat Park
Access Site
Location: Wildcat Park is located on
Eisenhower Road in Lafayette. It is on the right bank
of the river at the confluence of the North and South
Forks of the creek.
From Dayton, turn right on CR 775E; turn right on State
Route 38; take I-65 North to State Route 25 North; turn
right on CR 300 N; turn right on CR 400 E, which turns
into Eisenhower Road; Wildcat Park is on the right.
Parking: There is a gravel parking lot
with room to park 20-30 vehicles. There is room for several
cars to pull off near the path and unload boats before
parking in the lot.
Path to River: There is a carry of about
50 yards (150 feet) down several steps and across a large
sandbar.
River Access: There is room to load
many boats on the large sandbar.
The 53 acre Wildcat Park was founded by the Wildcat
Creek Foundation and is operated by the Tippecanoe
County Department of Parks and Recreation. Wildcat Park
also has a covered picnic shelter, drinking fountain,
pit toilets, hiking, nature study and a river overlook.
There is no camping at the park.
