The mill race leading to the mill is on the left bank
just before the dam and immediately upstream of the public
fishing area.

to notice the calmer mill pond water. Canoeists should
avoid the dam and portage on the left bank, following
the path through the public fishing area back to the creek.
It has been recommended that this section of the river
should be canoed only during higher flow. However, remember
that only experienced canoeists should canoe during higher
flow.
